The Wolfsegg Slice is a small tectonic unit forming the most internal part of the Subalpine Molasse east of the Gurnigel region. It is composed of basal formations of the Lower Marine Molasse (UMM, Jordisboden Marl and Goldegg Sandstone).

In its Swiss part, the Lutry-Thonon Slice consists solely of Molasse Rouge. It is separated from the Belmont Slice by the Lutrive Fault at its base (to the NW), while the Grandvaux Fault separates it from the Cully Slice at its summit (to the SE). In its French part, it includes, in addition to the «Molasse Rouge», the «Grès et Marnes Gris à Gypse» and the «Molasse Grise de Lausanne».

The Villarvolard Slice is the southernmost (most internal) tectonic unit of the Subalpine Molasse of Western Switzerland (between the Léman and the Berra regions). It is composed of basal Lower Marine Molasse (UMM, transitional from the – originally underlying – flysch facies).

The La Pattaz–La Holena Slice is a tectonic unit of the Subalpine Molasse in the Bulle/Gruyère region, comprised between the Champotey–Ramsera Slice (below, to the north) and the Villarvolard Slice (above, to the south). It is composed of Lower Marine Molasse (UMM).
