S.51: Die Iffezheim-Formation besteht aus kalkfreiem Material lokaler Herkunft (Schwarzwald, Vogesen). Ihre Ablagerung begann im Neogen und dauerte bis ins Pleistozän an (insbesondere im Bereich des Grabenrandes und zum Teil auf Randschultern), was durch Vorkommen von neogenen bis frühpleistozänen (Gabriel et al. 2013) sowie mittelpleistozänen Pollenvergesellschaftungen (Weidenfelder & Knipping 2008, Hahne et al. 2012) belegt ist.
