    The Biella Volcanic Suite is an Oligocene volcano-sedimentary series covering the most internal portion of the Sesia Nappe along the Canavese Fault in the Biella region. These mostly calc-alkaline andesitic rocks were deposited onto an erosional surface of the Eclogitic Micaschist Unit of the Sesia Nappe 33–32 Ma ago.
