p.396: The term Scaglia cinerea (Piano di Brenno, Villa & Villa 1844) as used by Gelati & Passeri (1967) stands for the ash-colored (cinerea) calcareous and sandy marls alternating with thin-bedded marly limestones of Late Campanian and Maastrichtian age, above the Flysch di Bergamo (Kleboth, in prep.). The thickness of the Scaglia cinerea is of about 150 m.
