The Monte Olimpino Backthrust, developped during the latest phases of deformation of the Lower Orobic Imbricates, brought the Lombardian Gompholite (synorogenic sediments ot the Milan Belt) onto the Lower Orobic Imbricates in the area south of Como–Chiasso–Varese.

Oberer Teil der Breisgau-Fm., mit ein erhöhten Hornblendeanteil im Schwermineralspektrum, sowie ein zunehmenden alpinen Anteil in der Geröll- und Schwermineralfraktion.
Älterer Anteil der Breisgau-Fm., mit ein Schwermineralspektrum aus vor allem Granat und Epidot bei wenig Hornblende geprägt, sowie ein erhöhten Feinanteil in der Kornverteilungskurve und ein grösseren Anteil an lokalem Geröllmaterial.

The Diablerets Nappe is an Upper Helvetic tectonic nappe in the Western Swiss Alps. Forming the base of the Wildhorn Nappe Complex, it is present only in the southwest and is linked by a tight syncline to the overlying Mont Gond Nappe.
