Zuoberst geht die Formazione di Moltrasio allmählich in hellgraue, gelblichen oder bläulichen Hornstein führende, glimmerreiche Kalke mit pyritisierten (resp. limonitisierten) Ammoniten des Pliensbachien (unteres Pliensbachien/Carixien) und des Domerien (oberes Pliensbachien) über (Renz 1920, Venzo 1952).
