S.153: Die älteste Ablagerung [des Möhlinerfeldes] ist der Till, welcher an der Basis der Kiesgrube Bünten angetroffen wurde (Bunten-Till). Darüber folgt ein erster glazifluviatiler Schotter, der ins Dach einen Paläoboden aufweist (Bünten-Schotter).

This unit consists of glacial deposits, a lodgement till with alpine material (‘Bünten Till’), representing the advance of an alpine glacier towards this area (Möhlin advance). The till is covered by glaciofluvial gravel (‘Bünten-Schotter’), showing an alpine spectrum, but the pebbles and boulders at its base consist of material originating from the Black Forest. In the pit, the uppermost part of the gravel shows intense weathering and this soil is interpreted to reflect interglacial conditions.
