p.30: SCABELL (1926) mapped in the area between the Mättenberg and the Klein Schreckhorn a small zone of strongly altered sericite gneiss (“Mischgneise”). This highly deformed and mica-rich gneiss differs from the typical Innertkirchen-Lauterbrunnen Gneiss Complex and was therefore defined as a separate lithostratigraphic unit named Zäsenberg Gneiss.
