Descrizione

Mélange à matrice marno-micacée et gréseuse (sans débris volcaniques basiques) emballant des blocs exotiques.

Blocs exotiques (subbriançonnais, ultrahelvétique): biomicrites à radiolaires et calpionelles (Jurassique tardif - Crétacé précoce), grès glauconieux («Crétacé moyen»), biomicrites à Globotruncanidés (y compris faciès Couches Rouges ; Crétacé tardif - Paléocène).

p.43: In the Sulens Klippe, east of the Lac d’Annecy, the Nantbellet Mélange lies above the Chaines Subalpines Nappe and below a series related to the Préalpes Médianes Nappe. It is also considered to be part of the Pillon Mélange Zone. Its upper part consists of “wildflysch” that contains lenses of Subbriançonnais and Ultrahelvetic origin. Its lower part consists mainly of one large Anzeinde-type sliver containing here also a transgressive Cenozoic flysch (Rosset et al. 1976, Doudoux et al. 1992).
