2013) :
Tectonics of the Lepontine Alps : ductile thrusting and folding in the deepest tetonic levels of the Central Alps. Swiss Journal of Geosciences, 106/3, 427-450
p.432:The Campolungo sedimentary cover of the Simano basement is characterised by a 1–10 m thick basal quartzite (Lower Triassic?), a 30–100 m thick level of white and grey graphitic dolomites (Middle Triassic?) and 8–50 m of cargneule (Upper Triassic?) of a Triassic age overlain by post-Triassic calc-schists. The Triassic quartzite overlies an up to 10 m thick conglomeratic quartzitic gneiss (locally with carbonate) of uncertain Permian age and a two mica garnet, ±staurolite and kyanite gneiss or schist of the Campo Tencia basement. The Campolungo zone is folded to the west by the Mogno and to the east by the Alpe Piota syncline (Bianconi 1971; Keller et al. 1980). In our interpretation (Figs. 2, 3), the Campolungo zone does not represent the ‘‘Mulde’’ (syncline) postulated by Hasler (1949) nor the continuous Mogno syncline proposed by Maxelon and Mancktelow (2005, Fig. 16).
