This unit consists of glacial deposits, a lodgement till with alpine material (‘Bünten Till’), representing the advance of an alpine glacier towards this area (Möhlin advance). The till is covered by glaciofluvial gravel (‘Bünten-Schotter’), showing an alpine spectrum, but the pebbles and boulders at its base consist of material originating from the Black Forest.
