Die von HAUS (1937) entdeckte Fossilfundstelle im Hombachtobel (Koord. 629.300/185.060) lieferte u. a. eine Säugetierfauna und Gastropoden, die gemäss H. G. Stehlin (in HAUS 1937) bezeichnend für das «jüngere Stampien» sind. ENGESSER (1990) stellte die Fauna in die Säugerzone MP 28 (spätes Chattien).
