Gouffon Yves (Editor) (2024) : Tectonic Map of Switzerland 1:500000, Explanatory notes. Federal Office of Topography swisstopo, Wabern

p.85: The Bardella-Roccabella Slices, also located northwest of the Engadine Fault, are sedimentary slices detached from their former crystalline substrate. The Bardella Slice is located in the footwall of the Julier Nappe and overthrusts the sedimentary cover of the Err Nappe, being pinched in along the multiply deformed synclinorium of the “Samedan Zone”, all the way between the Julierpass road and St. Moritz. The Roccabella Slice, in contrast, is found in the immediate footwall of a klippe of the Err Nappe and is in direct contact with the Platta Nappe in the area east of Septimerpass. Small occurrences of sedimentary slices belonging to the Err Nappe Complex are also found north of Sils Maria, pinched in between the overlying basement of the Err Nappe and the Platta Nappe (Handy et al. 1996, Handy 1996).
