p.25: The migmatite and migmatitic gneiss forming the Massa Gneiss Complex are common in the Ausserberg-Avat Zone and show different aspects. In particular, the association of leucocratic migmatitic gneisses with mafic to ultramafic rocks (amphibolites, gabbroic rocks, hornblendites) is widespread (LABHART 1965, NIGGLI 1965, STECK 1966). This produces banded assemblages strongly resembling the sequences found in the Ofenhorn-Stampfhorn Gneiss Complex of the Sustenhorn Zone (ABRECHT 1994).
