p.30: The Innertkirchen-Lauterbrunnen Zone is the northernmost polycyclic metamorphic basement unit and can be followed from the Jungfrau area to the Titlis. It is not exposed in the eastern part of the Aar Massif. Autochthonous and parautochthonous Mesozoic sedimentary rocks define the northern boundary of this zone. Two subunits were distinguished on the map sheet: (1) the volumetrically by far larger and characteristic Innertkirchen-Lauterbrunnen Gneiss Complex (GMI) and (2) the narrow band of Zäsenberg Gneiss (GZ) in the Schreckhorn area.
