Nach Gygi (1969) ist die Mächtigkeit des Crenularis-Members 17 m im Steinbruch von Mellikon, aufgrund von Schwamm-Riffen. Diese atypische Fazies markiert den Übergang zum Hornbuck-Member weiter östlich.
