Der Braune Oolith liegt in der Nähe zum Verbreitungsgebiet der Grünen Mumienbank wie diese auch an der Basis des Röschenz-Members auf und scheint die Grüne Mumienbank lateral zu ersetzen. Nördlich des Doubs und bei Mont Dedos hingegen tritt der Braune Oolith innerhalb des Röschenz-Members auf.
