OBERE GRENZNAGELFLUH (OGN) (OMM ; «Helvétien») [...] Büchi (1955: 313) unterscheidet drei Sedimentationsphasen. Während der obersten, der Hauptschüttungsphase, sind bei Goldbrunnen-Hagenbuch E St. Gallen statt Nagelfluh Schiefermergel und Plattensandsteine anzutreffen (Goldbrunnen-Schichten), während in den anschliessenden Gebieten im W und E mächtige Nagelfluhen zur Ablagerung kamen.
